These were officially recorded in the Registry of Deeds, also known as the St. Christopher Register, for the greater assurance of the parties concerned. They include such documents as bills of sale, conveyances, deeds of gift and covenant, deed polls, deeds of trust, leases and releases, manumissions, marriage settlements, mortgages, powers of attorney and wills.
